On December 7th the Oak Park Village Board is set to vote on 2016 budget which includes some fee increases. One of those is the vehicle sticker fee.
The plan is to raise the cost from the current $50 to $70. The Village is also set to eliminate the $5 online discount fee that was previously offered.
The increased fee is expected to raise an additional $382,594, which will be used to pay the debt service on the $20 million in bonds the village is set to issue. The bonds are being issued to fund street resurfacing throughout the village.
